What's the meaning of the name SKA and how does it focus us?
SKA is a Swedish phrase for "We Shall" which is both a statement of intent and
commitment. When paired with Learning, we believe it implies a non-negotiable
commitment to the process of learning. This statement has many implications for
us at SKA Learning not the least being that we must use our skills and tools to
create actionable outcomes from learning interventions. In addition to this we
have elected to make our mark in the e-learning environment, a medium which
although generally has reduced the overall cost of learning, has also in many
cases reduced the quality of the learning outcomes. Our mission, is to maintain
the focus on reducing cost of delivery but at the same time ensure that we
exceed the outcomes normally achievable through traditional learning formats
or other e-learning applications. We are therefore a learning organisation
ourselves, constantly pushing the boundaries of what can be achieved through
the use of leading edge technologies and methodologies. Please read on to see
how far we got to date.

How do we develop our products?
To achieve our goals we have sought the input of global thought leaders and
design experts, such as Klas Mellander (CelemiAB), Professor Karl-Erik Sveiby
("Founding Father" of Knowledge Management) and software company uNeed. With
their combined help we have been able to create electronic business simulations
that not only maintain sound pedagogical practices but that quickly deliver,
sound benefits to the organisation.
|
What is our premier product?
From the collaboration of the global thought leaders and design experts a
comprehensive, competitive and customisable business simulation was developed,
which was named Tangonet™ (www.tangonet.se).
This has become SKA Learning's premier business simulation and has already won
several prestigious awards.

Tangonet™ is widely being adopted for use in Public and Private
organizations and Academic institutions around the globe. A testament to
Tangonet™ applicability and robustness is that it is even used in
some Universities as the final exam for MBA programs!! Language variations
that currently exist, or are soon to be released, are English, Chinese and
German. Other language options can be readily made available subject to demand.
|
Where to from here?
SKA Learning is naturally proud of the leading edge applicability of
Tangonet™ but as all creators, we are never satisfied with a static
product, nor if we did so would we be delivering on our mission. Therefore we
will continue to invest resources in creating new generations of Tangonet™
and spin off applications that will incorporate the best of the available
technology's and methodologies to enhance the learning experience.
